“Budget deal rips vets retirement”.

Outrages to say the least!!

From a friend on FB.

“[Why is it that they (politicians) never reduce / cut their pensions/spending and lifestyle but go after those who have very little, those who actually put their very lives on the line? Politicians will never sacrifice a ‘dime’… or their comfort, it is always ‘OFF THE TABLE’ or rather never discussed; Lifetime pensions, healthcare and security are theirs and non negotiable … THAT IS SO DAMN WRONG!!!
Keep in mind most if not ‘all’ of these politicians are multi-millionaires. Yet with all their wealth they continue to live off taxpayers in such gluttonous hypocrisy.]”

From Allen West. “My fellow veterans, below is the text of an email legislative update I received from the Military Officers Association of America. Please read and take action:

”A proposed bipartisan budget deal threatens to significantly slash retirement benefits for current and future military retirees, and it’s scheduled to be voted on by the House tomorrow.

The FY 2014 budget proposal drafted by Sen. Patty Murray and Rep. Paul Ryan includes a provision that cuts the annual Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for military retirees by 1 percent a year until reaching age 62.

The cuts will have a devastating and long-lasting impact, reducing retired pay for those who serve a 20-year career by nearly 20 percent at age 62. An E-7 retiring at age 40 today would experience a loss of $83,000 in purchasing power — an O-5 would lose $124,000.” Read more here, Budget deal rips vets retirement

Warren Buffett and the debt ceiling.

Here’s a great idea to get politicians motivated to do their job’s.

From a recent E-mail from my Dad.

It’s amazing how fast they can do something they really want to do!

Warren Buffett, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers one of the best quotes about the debt ceiling:

“I could end the deficit in 5 minutes,” he told CNBC. “You just
pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more
than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible
for re-election.

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds)
took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple!
The people demanded it. That was in 1971 – before computers, e-mail,
cell phones, etc.

Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took one (1) year
or less to become the law of the land – all because of public pressure.

Warren Buffet is asking each addressee to forward this email to
a minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask
each of those to do likewise.

In three days, most people in The United States of America will
have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed
around.

Congressional Reform Act of 2012

1. No Tenure / No Pension.

A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no
pay when they’re out of office.

2. Congress (past, present & fut ure) participates in Social
Security.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the
Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow intothe Social Security system, and Congress participates with the
American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all
Americans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise.
Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5. Congress loses their current health care system and
participates in the same health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the
American people.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void
effective 12/1/12. The American people did not make this
contract with Congressmen/women.

Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in
Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers
envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their
term(s), then go home and back to work.

If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will
only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive
the message. Don’t you think it’s time?

THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!

If you agree, pass it on. If not, delete.
You are one of my 20+ – Please keep it going, and thanks

Remember all because of “all because of public pressure”.

“WE THE PEOPLE” have the power if we would only exercises it.

GOD bless you and America.

OWS is camped out in the wrong places.

Is it any wonder why Politicians have a hard time doing whats right for the country or you?

Think politicians work for you?

Think again.

OWS is camped out in the wrong places.

With the Obama class war raging and the media only reporting what it sees fit,who can blame them though.

60 Minutes Expected to Air Investigation of Pelosi Stock Investments
FTA:
“According to multiple news reports, 60 Minutes reporter Steve Kroft sprang a number of questions on Pelosi at a recent press conference in Washington, D.C. about why legislation affecting credit-card swipe fees was not brought to the floor of the house for a vote late in 2008.

Earlier that year, Pelosi’s husband, San Francisco businessman Paul Pelosi, purchased between $1 and $5 million in Visa stock. Visa, based in San Francisco, was undergoing a large IPO.

Did Nancy Pelosi profit from Visa stock purchases?

Nancy Pelosi Feels Your Pain: Net Worth Rose 62% Last Year

Pelosi’s Net Worth Grew 62 Percent Last Year, Media Mostly Mum
FTA:
“You would think that in a tough economy with 9.1 percent of the population unemployed and most people seeing continued decreases in the value of their homes the revelation of a political leader experiencing a massive rise in her net worth would be newsworthy.

Apparently not, for the following report about former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) stunning one year financial windfall published by the Hill at 12:46 PM Wednesday received almost no interest from so-called “news” outlets from coast to coast:”

No one should be surprised about Queen Nancy.

Most Members of Congress Enjoy Robust Financial Status, Despite Nation’s Sluggish Economic Recovery
FTA:
“Fully 36 Senate Democrats and 30 Senate Republicans reported an average net worth in excess of $1 million in 2010, according to the Center’s analysis. The same was true of 110 House Republicans and 73 House Democrats.

The median estimated net worth among Senate Republicans was $2.43 million, and the median net worth among members of the Democratic caucus in the Senate was $2.58 million, by the Center’s tally.”

The List Everyone Is Talking About
FTA:
“Here is “The List” that we speak of in “The Video Congress Does Not Want You To See”. Check to see if your representative in Congress is on this list. This is a trend analysis of the data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics using their average net worth calculations.”

Lets vote the carer politicians out.2012
GOD bless America and you.

Politicians and Social Security, just give it back.

I work part time,(Friday and Sunday)at a Senior citizens home as a driver.
I drive them to doctor appointment,to the store, where ever they need to go to get their things done on Friday.

On Sunday I take them to church in the morning and in the afternoon I take them on a scenic drive.

Since I ride I know a lot of back scenic roads. They really enjoy it and are like little kids sometimes especially when they see horses, animals or something interesting. The really love looking at the country as do I.

I love it.I enjoy listen to their storeys. Some are well into their 90″s and still really on top of things.
They where their for world war two and before.

They seen it all. They build this country and have watched erode right before their eyes.

They’ve paid their dues and we should be very thankful for what they’ve done.

Instead of looking for ways to screw them with Obamacare and cutting Social Security and the high coast of medications and just trying to ignore or forget about them.

What a bunch of crap. The grates nation on earth(well,it used to be,still is I guess)Kills it’s young and discards the old.

Anyways.

All these politicians that are so sorry about having to cut Social Security and other Senior benefits.
These politicians that have raided Social Security for decades that CLAIM they care and work for the people, especially the Democrats.

Put your money where your mouth is.

The majority of them,(especially the carer politicians)are multi millionaires and have incomes from more then one source and are set for life.

While having the benefit of Social Security their self’s,plus their retirement for life for being a politician.

Didn’t the “Chosen One” say something about making to much money,HELLO.

It wouldn’t hurt one of them to donate their salaries and benefits to Social Security.
If your a millionaire 2,3,4,5 times over whats the big deal.

They tell us times are tuff,we have to make tuff decisions.
Welcome to our world.

Put your money where your mouth is,get serious.Show us some leadership, some commitment.
Instead of pointing fingers, blaming the last guy.Take a freaking stand.

Restore our confidence in you.Do you really work for the people, the country.

Or just yourselves.

I wounder if their is just one politician willing to do this, lead by example.Introduce a bill.
See who votes against it.

All the political petitions going around these days,is their someone willing to take a stand,to do the right thing.

I wounder,probably in vane.

Just a thought.

GOD bless America and you.
