With all of the recent news and headlines about Facebook and all the big tech companies tracking us, sharing our information with little or no options for us to do anything about it. I’ve been thinking why isn’t Yahoo in the news? They certainty should be.
I don’t want government involved in much of anything with the exception of the way the founders originally planned for government involvement in states and our personal lives. But I think there should be some type of legislation that forbids these big tech companies from collecting, storing or sharing our personal info. There should be some way to do it.
“Verizon’s Oath, which owns both Yahoo and AOL, has updated its privacy policies with new information concerning what the company is allowed to do with user data. The company’s recently updated policies state that the sites it owns are allowed to scan emails, instant messages, photos, and other user data. The agreement also says that the data may be shared with Oath’s parent company, Verizon.
Another thing worth noting about Oath’s privacy policies is its section regarding banking information. As CNET reports, the company does scan emails related to banking and financial information. Their terms of service state that Oath may “… analyze user content around certain interactions with financial institutions.”
I didn’t take the time to read the encyclopedia type update. Who does and that’s the point I’m sure.
Yahoo. Privacy update.
A couple day’s after the update I couldn’t sign in to my email account, was probably hacked, I had to change my password.
This morning I was going to get started on deleting a lot of my contact’s. I really only have need of a few anymore. Now I’m thinking of just deleting the account and using another service. But which one? And what a pain that’s going to be, letting others know about the change and contacting services I use. And what if I let someone know of my change and they use Yahoo? Then I guess Yahoo would still be able to access my info.
Awhile back and usually I don’t do this but this time when they updated the service I changed to the new email. When I did I noticed a folder with photos. I thought I don’t have photos stored in email. I took a look and every thing I ever uploaded are looked at from friends or downloaded was there. That includes legal and personal stuff.
I deleted the important personal stuff like social security number and other legal stuff but Yahoo only gives the option to delete one at a time, no select all and delete. Who has time to go through and one at a time delete laterally years of email history.
Of course there are plenty of complaints about it but Yahoo doesn’t care or show any signs of writing some simple coed to have a select all delete option.
I don’t do it any more, haven’t for years but I used to go to a site or other banking type sites strait from links in the email when they contacted me. Now I wait till I sign out off the email account and go directly to the site or service to communicate with them.
To me this is just straight up invasion of privacy and there is no choice in the mater. Something has to change!
Maybe the only way to insure privacy is to opt out of the”Go paperless option” many offer and go back to snail mail.
.
“A remarkable and sobering new analysis of Internet privacy being released Thursday finds that a majority of the world’s cyber experts believe that keeping secrets on the Web will be “a luxury,” and that the public will eventually accept it as the “new default.”
In a massive survey of 2,511 of the world’s top tech experts, the Pew Research Center found that 55 percent believe that efforts by governments or industry to build a secure privacy infrastructure by 2025 will fail, while 45 percent believe some type of system will be in place.”
“Just how much information we give away about ourselves as we browse the Web has been raised again by a tracking device used in thousands of Web sites.
Researchers at Belgium’s University of Leuven have revealed the widespread use of a technique called “canvas fingerprinting” that tracks the activities of people on a Web site without their knowledge.
More than 5,600 Web sites were identified using the fingerprinting technique. While it’s relatively new, it represents another front in a very long battle to find out what users do online, and raises concerns about our ability to control our online privacy.” July 28, 2014. There’s no such thing as privacy on the Internet anymore
“As Sun Microsystems chief executive Scott McNealy famously said nearly 15 years ago, “You have zero privacy anyway. Get over it.”
As unpopular as that viewpoint was at the time, McNealy was right. Dead right. I actually think that’s what upset all the consumer privacy advocates and watchdog groups back in 1999. That the guy had the guts to speak the truth.
And you know what? After all these years, people still don’t get it. We did this to ourselves.”
Bestiality brothels are spreading through Germany faster than ever thanks to a law that makes animal porn illegal but sex with animals legal, a livestock protection officer has warned.
Madeleine Martin told the Frankfurter Rundschau that current laws were not protecting animals from predatory zoophiles who are increasingly able to turn to bestiality as a ‘lifestyle choice’.
She highlighted one case where a farmer in the Gross-Gerau region of southwest Germany, noticed his once friendly flock of sheep were beginning to shy away from human contact.
Two complainants have failed in their attempt to get Germany’s constitutional court to consider their claim against the laws banning sex with animals.
The two unnamed individuals say they are sexually attracted to animals.
They sought to get the court in Karlsruhe to consider whether the existing rules are unconstitutional.
But the court threw out their claim, ruling that the effect of the ban on the complainants’ right to sexual self-determination was justified.
The court said that protecting animal welfare by seeking to prevent them being the victim of sexual assaults was a legitimate aim of the law – which remains unchanged after the court’s decision.
A 23-year-old native of Syria allegedly sexually assaulted a pony in front of children in Görlitzer Park, Berlin.
Görlitzer Park contains a petting zoo called “Children’s Farm,” which is particularly popular with young children and contains two ponies, two donkeys, half a dozen sheep and goats, and ten chickens, ducks and rabbits.
Vlad Tepes reports, while citing Berliner Morgenpost, a Syrian native allegedly sexually assaulted a pony in the zoo around 3 PM on Friday last week.
A witness, known only as Amanda F, described the incident to the Berliner Morgenpost.
“My babysitter took a walk with our son through Görlitzer Park. They had to witness the man sexually assaulting the pony,” she said.
According to Amanda F, her babysitter told her about the incident after speaking to the so-called “park runners.”
In unconnected news, the number of Syrian migrants in the country is now estimated at 1.5 million.
As news of the animal brothel craze hit German national broadcaster ZDF, anxiety among petting zoo ponies dropped precipitously. In November, a 23 year old Syrian man allegedly sexually assaulted a pony in broad daylight in front of children at a park in Berlin.
Animal welfare officer Madeleine Martin told the Frankfurter Rundschau that Germany’s current laws enable “zoophiles” to carry out their sexual deviancy without contention. Bestiality is not illegal in Germany.
“There are now animal brothels in Germany,” Martin explained, claiming that people are turning to animals for sex as a “lifestyle choice,” the Daily Mail reports.
Some thought’s. Keep in mind liberals love and want America to be just like Europe. Progressives believe in and are fighting hard for all these weird peoples rights, islam open boarders, blurring the lines between gender, marriage and whats right and wrong.
Just wonder how much longer society can survive this insanity?
This is a repost from my blog from 2015 in regards to “Net Neutrality”. At the time Obama was still in office and the rest of the title was “Lame Duke” president and the Progressives last push for control.”
Net Neutrality is back in the News though. Though I am a supporter of President Trump and most of his agenda I think the government or anyone else for that matter should not be regulating the internet.
Like I stae in the blog post you have to be very careful who you listen to on this subject and take the time to research who’s behind what they are telling you.
Bottom line LEAVE THE INTERNET ALONE! It’s bad enough Obama gave it away.
There’s a lot of info in my post. The following parts are from the post and a link to it if your interested.
A few week’s ago I was waiting in a doctors waiting room and picked up a old Time magazine from August 4th 2014 and began to read a article entitled Meet the Internet’s Most Powerful Man“The man who wants to remake the Internet does not wear a hoodie. He just owns the cables. Now he’s after more. Meet Brian Roberts, the King of Comcast” written by Haley Sweetland Edwards . You can’t read the whole article unless your a subscriber. I will be referencing the article when I post according to the Times article, the hard copy found it’s way home with me from the doctors office.
This how thing’s looked at the time according to the Time’s article.
That my friend is one of the problems with all these mergers. Everyone has to use one of the big boy’s lines so you can get Internet and the field is getting smaller and smaller. It’s also where it get’s kind of complicated and you have to pay attention to who you listen to when it comes to “Net Neutrality”. “Net Neutrality” is making for some strange bed fellow’s. It may look like liberal-progressives and republicans or conservatives are talking or concerned about the same thing but they are not. First of as far as elected officials are concerned it looks like it all about money, lobbyist and campaign donations of course. According to the Times article “Roberts has amassed one of the largest lobbying and political-influence operations ever created”. He also golf’s with Obama.
“President Barack Obama returned to the Vineyard Golf Club on Martha’s Vineyard today for another golf outing — this time with Brian Roberts, chief executive of Comcast, parent company of NBC Universal.”
“The president’s August vacation on the Vineyard has included a number of informal events with media players. On Tuesday, the president and first lady Michelle Obama attended a party at the home of NPR host Michele Norris Johnson and her husband Broderick Johnson, who was an adviser on Obama’s 2012 campaign.” Read more here. Another interesting thing form the Times article I didn’t know about. “for the price of 45-megabit-per second(MPS) download speeds, U.S. broadband ranks 30th out of 33 developed countries, according to a recent report by the Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development.” “In Hong Kong, 500 MPS cost $35 per month; in San Francisco Comcast’s fastest download speed is, 105 MPS, runs you $114.95”. What’s up with that?

Forget about Immigration, all the smoke and mirrors, confusing things Obama and his administration is doing and throwing at you Saul Alinsky style, though important but as the world burns and is consumed with Obama’s ineptness, failed foreign and domestic policies and total mismanagement of the government as he and his administrations “Fundamental Change of America” continues to reek havoc on America and the world. February 26th 2015 could be a day that changes everything.
A few week’s ago I was waiting in a doctors waiting room and picked up a old Time magazine from August 4th 2014 and began to read a article entitled Meet the Internet’s Most Powerful Man“The man who wants to remake the Internet does not wear a hoodie. Also according to the Time’s article because of all the hoopla over the Comcast and Time Warner merger, (“Time Inc. the owner of this magazine became independent of Time Warner in June. Time Warner Cable is independent of both companies”) not much attention was paid to AT&T who bought Direct TV (“The biggest satellite company in the country”). “While pretty much everyone is scrutinizing the pending mega-merger between Comcast and Time Warner Cable, not much attention is being paid to the possible marriage of the country’s second-largest wireless and pay-TV companies”. Read more here. Why Isn’t America Freaking Out About AT&T/DirecTV Merger — And Should We Be?
According to the Times article at the time there where all kind’s of concerns about the merger of Comcast and Time Warner and rightfully so. But, the mild mannered and “Likable” Brain Roberts the Chief Executive of Comcast was telling everyone not to worry about it, it would make all things better for everyone. “The recent record, however, suggest the story will be a bit more complicated. Comcast has raised it’s customer prices by an average of 4% every year since the mid -90s, a trend that Comcast executives say won’t end any time soon”. ” We’re certainly not promising that customers bills are going to go down Comcast executive Vise president David Cohen told reporters in February”. “This yer , the Customer Satisfaction Index rated Comcast and Time Warner the worst two companies in any industry nationwide”. Can totally agree with that. I had Time Warner for my Internet and when Comcast took over and prices continued to rise with even crappier services and slower speed with the supposed “new faster router” and having them come out twice to fix it with no improvement I found another cheaper service from a smaller company,(which was no east task because as everyone knows depending on which area you live in you have very few choices.) but they have to use Comcast lines.

Ever wounder like I do what the heck happened to good show on TV? Of course there’s some, not many though. I see allot of pro homosexual and some that boarder on soft porn. I saw some commercial for the show Sirens on USA network it looked funny so I checked it out. In the first few minutes I started to feel uncomfortable, after watching a little more I knew it wasn’t for me. The three main charters I would guess where watching some video or something, they didn’t show the video but they did a good job of explain what they where watching. It was a video of a women having sex or pleasuring a horse and the horse let loose all over if you can imagine and they continued to make mention of it and one of the charters was guy and had some nice things to say as you might imagine. The homosexual thing being played all over the place that one “Modern Family” is almost the only thing on, on the USA Network, when I look at the guide I see long blocks of it. I used to be a big fan of the USA network, they used to have some good content. It just amazes me that less then 5% of the population has such a presence in entertainment. It seems something that small would have it’s own little network where you watch if you wanted to instead of it being hammered in to our heads that it’s all normal. Well, that’s a whole other subject. The reason I bring it up is because of what Comcast owns and how one person or company can dictate what you watch, fill your head with and maybe even shape your opinion. Check it out, “Law & Order”, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”, “Parks and Recreation”, and NBC News highlight the company’s broadcast TV portfolio. Cable networks like CNBC, MSNBC, Syfy, the Golf Channel, and USA Network are all under the Comcast umbrella. As are dozens of local NBC affiliate stations across the country, including those in major media markets like New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Miami. Comcast also owns a minority stake in Hulu (albeit under FCC-mandated restrictions).” “Even in an age of unprecedented media consolidation, Comcast stands alone as both producer and distributor of content that Americans watch.”Read more here. Comcast’s Own History Is Best Argument Against Time Warner Deal . “Roberts built Comcast into a programming and distribution powerhouse by gobbling up companies like Pac-Man did pellets”.”Brian Roberts, the chief executive officer of cable giant Comcast, is not an imposing figure. His frame is thin and of slight musculature, his face framed by a delicate pair of wire-rimmed glasses. He resembles Bill Gates in many respects. And just like Gates, appearances to the contrary, Roberts will crush anyone standing in the way of his business objectives”.Read more here, Why Comcast CEO Brian Roberts Is The Best Deal-Maker In Media
We all know or any reasonable person should know the the “Lame Stream Media” is left leaning to say the least, an arm of the Obama administration and progressives. The heads of all three major networks and executive’s are friends with and major donors to Obama and the democrat party. When the FOX black out was going on when Dish and Fox the most hated network by the left, Holder and Obama where negotiating I really got to experience it and it made me sad for people that don’t know or understand and are so easily swayed and just accept what they are fed. During the negotiating I had only the Big Three network RT and CCTV which had no problem bashing and blaming America for the world’s woes, with left leaning American’s only to happy to appear on the show to contribute to the bashing. Though it’s always good to watch news out side of America to see what’s not being reported in America. Thank God Dish provide complementary Blaze TV and I still had Newsmax TV to keep up with some news and event’s.(I like my Dish one of the reasons being Charlie Ergen built it up from nothing with his wife and friend. they did it the American way, “the earned it” and yes Mr president They did build that!
Looking at the big picture, It’s just shocking to me how it would and maybe will be with just the Big Three networks and progressive programming, what happened to the news channels that are for the most part infomercials or talk show’s reporting on lost and found dog’s, the latest diet thing, celebrity news. Fifteen minutes in if you’ve stayed that long you MIGHT depending on the network catch some actual news but only a blip. Imagine what the Internet will be like when the progressives and Obama finally control everything, the message, the airways.
According to the Times article, “For the past 25 years, no single person or company has been powerful enough to control how American Internet works. One reason for that was the diffuse and chaotic nature of our online economy-a kind of rough and tumble Wild West where thousands of producers jostled for attention of the masses. In this environment, no single company, not even Goliaths like Google or Facebook, dominated enough traffic to bend the networks free-market checks and balances”. The way it should be I think, “If it ain’t broke why fix it”. “It was, for a time, a marvelous architecture, fundamentally unlike any other networks in our lives. There was no government ownership as with the the interstate highway system, no costly long distance plans as with phone networks and no individual postage required to send content as with the U. S.Postal Service”. That has, is and will be changing now though, with talk about “fast Lanes and “slow lanes” on the Internet. With only a few ISP’s (Internet Service Providers) controlling the Internet, if you want content to get through the pipes you’ll have to pay them.

Wow. From yahoo AND NBC. Go figure. “Obama: No, Romney Was Wrong. Russia Is Weak, Not Strong”
“During a press conference today in The Netherlands, ABC’s Jonathan Karl asked President Obama if he thought “Mitt Romney had a point” when he said in 2012 that Russia was America’s “number one” geopolitical foe. Obama took advantage of the question to slam his current political opponent, Vladimir Putin.”
“Karl’s question began with a challenge. “In China, Syria, and Egypt — and now in Russia — we have seen you make strong statements and issue warnings that have been ignored. Are you concerned that America’s influence in the world, your influence in the world, is on the decline?” And, he added, in light of recent developments, have you rethought your critiques of Romney?” Read more here.
