CalPERS goes all in on ESG’s.

CalPERS Names Peter Cashion New Head of Sustainability Program

Peter Cashion

Cashion’s role will be to set the vision, strategy, and governance for CalPERS’ sustainability work and be responsible for leading all aspects of the fund’s efforts to develop and implement an economics-based ESG research and data framework to support environmental, social, and governance (ESG) integration into the investment decision-making process.

“CalPERS has been a pioneer in its advocacy of climate solutions and sustainable investing, and our focus on that work has only intensified over the years,” said CalPERS Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Nicole Musicco. “That makes this a critical position to us. Peter’s long record of impact investing across global markets elevated him in our search and makes him a great fit with the fund’s mission. His experience as a hands-on investor in multiple asset classes, standing up complex sustainable investing strategies and leading diverse global teams, makes him the right person to take the reins of CalPERS’ sustainability efforts.”

ESG: Get to Know the Basics

ESG – Environmental, Social, and Governance Concept Web Banner

Take a closer look at what else is included under the ESG label.

Environmental

Let’s start by focusing on the “E” in ESG, as environmental matters get a lot of attention.

Some examples of environmental reporting factors are climate policies, water use, waste, carbon emissions footprint, and natural resource conservation. All these practices could impact a company’s bottom line, and therefore, CalPERS’ investment earnings.

For instance, governments around the globe have committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Consider if a company’s primary operations produce a significant amount of greenhouse gases. It’s likely they’ll face a drop in revenue or even challenges in meeting their energy demands without switching at least some of their focus to renewable energy.

Social

Let’s define the “S” in ESG: social.

Social is a broad category, but it really comes down to people. Examples of social reporting include information about wage equality, workplace safety and health, human rights, customer satisfaction, and even data protection and privacy.

It’s simple. Negative experiences for employees reduce productivity and increase the chances for workplace litigation, which can impact a company’s bottom line. Data breaches can disrupt operations and hurt customer loyalty, which also can hurt profit potential.

Seems the whole world has gone mad. Hope I don’t loss my retirement.

Thanks for stopping by, God bless America and you.

The most reasonable thing I ever heard about “Climate Change”and the Paris Climate Accord. (Updated with videos fixed.)

If the left, the politicians and the climate change alarmist would ever get over themselves and the Alinsky style propaganda and attacks people might actually listen and get more involved.

I was watching the Greg Gutfeld Show last night and one of his segment’s, interviews was with BjornLomborg . “Not all experts agreed w/ the Paris Accord interviews on Gutfeld”. I replied to his tweet about the interview and asked him to post the interview with BjornLomborg, (

Hope you take the time and find useful what I found. The Paris Climate Agreement Won’t Change the Climate

Climate Change: What’s So Alarming?

This one Presented by RICHARD LINDZEN , Climate Change: What Do Scientists Say?

Is Climate Change Our Biggest Problem?

Excellent article by Bjorn Lomborg

“Bjorn Lomborg is director of the Copenhagen Consensus Center, and author of The Skeptical Environmentalist and Cool It.

Like the Kyoto Protocol before it, the drastically over-hyped Paris climate treaty has fallen victim to political and economic reality.

Now that President Donald Trump has officially pulled the United States from the accord, it is time to declare the entire Kyoto-Paris approach to global warming dead and buried. Instead of scrapping over the treaty’s corpse, this is an opportunity to try a new, better and more efficient approach to solving global warming.

Right now, the chances of anything so constructive seem slim. Rhetoric is overheated to the point of absurdity. Environmental campaigners condemn Mr. Trump for dooming the entire planet to a fiery Armageddon, yet claim rashly that the treaty could survive without the United States. It will not, and it should not.

The hyperbole and outrage can’t hide the truth: even with the United States included, the treaty was not going to make much difference to global warming. Its grand rhetoric was never matched by the actual carbon-cutting promises within its pages. A lot was made of the treaty’s fanciful pledge to keep global temperature rises as low as 1.5 C. But that would have been impossible in all realistic scenarios other than a devastating global recession.” Read the rest here.> A path forward after the Paris climate agreement

Another,

“A new peer-reviewed paper by Dr. Bjorn Lomborg published in the Global Policy journal measures the actual impact of all significant climate promises made ahead of the Paris climate summit.

Governments have publicly outlined their post-2020 climate commitments in the build-up to the December’s meeting. These promises are known as “Intended Nationally Determined Contributions” (INDCs).

Dr. Lomborg’s research reveals:

  • The climate impact of all Paris INDC promises is minuscule: if we measure the impact of every nation fulfilling every promise by 2030, the total temperature reduction will be 0.048°C (0.086°F) by 2100.
  • Even if we assume that these promises would be extended for another 70 years, there is still little impact: if every nation fulfills every promise by 2030, and continues to fulfill these promises faithfully until the end of the century, and there is no ‘CO₂ leakage’ to non-committed nations, the entirety of the Paris promises will reduce temperature rises by just 0.17°C (0.306°F) by 2100.
  • US climate policies, in the most optimistic circumstances, fully achieved and adhered to throughout the century, will reduce global temperatures by 0.031°C (0.057°F) by 2100.
  • EU climate policies, in the most optimistic circumstances, fully achieved and adhered to throughout the century, will reduce global temperatures by 0.053°C (0.096°F) by 2100.” Read the rest here.> Paris climate promises will reduce temperatures by just 0.05°C in 2100 (Press release)

Finally, May 31st 2017

“In his monologue, Greg Gutfeld said President Trump should pull America out of the Paris Climate Agreement.

He said President Obama effectively decided to “spend cash on lottery tickets rather than toothpaste” when he decided to join the global agreement.

Gutfeld said that the measures taken under the agreement will cut global temperatures by less than one-tenth of a degree.

He said that in scientific terms, that number is trivial, but that in “human” terms, the consequences are “homicidal.”

For the same trillions of dollars that the accord will cost, doctors could cure malaria or malnutrition, or supply potable water to every human.

Gutfeld said the accord is “fueled by a lie that the West is so foul that only chucking trillions at a problem will absolve us from our exaggerated sins.”

"Agenda 21" What the…..

So,I’m trying to get caught up on one of my E-mail accounts(it’s like a loosing battle) and I come across a message from a friend of mine from YouTube, NoGuff’s Channel for America

To my YouTube(  freeamerican100’s Channel A freedom loving American  ) and twitter( roboeamerican ) friends wait for friends request and follow returns,I’m trying.

He goes into great detail about “Agenda 21” which I’ve never heard of before.

The title was,”Federal government taking private lands & waters.” Of course that caught my attention.

His message is to long to copy it here but it’s about the UN,the EPA,Obama, power grabs, losing our property rights, population control and losing our sovereignty to name a few.

Here is the first part of his message.

“This was prompted by this news story:

Giant Palouse Earthworm Gets Another Look

KLEW-TV, Lewiston, ID

http://tinyurl.com/2fwdwxf

Its about an earthworm found in undeveloped land in Washington and Idaho. If its put on the Endangered Species List, the federal government can come in and prevent the owners from farming or developing it, thus making it worthless and putting people out of work. They’ve done this before. Remember my messages about the central California “dust bowl” created due to a 2-inch fish found in the irrigation system? Thousands out of work, prime farmland rendered worthless, farmers bankrupted, and American food production slashed overnight.

Private property is one of the foundations of our liberty. But Leftists are trying to take them away and grow the government’s power. Right now the newly empowered EPA has been taking people’s property away or rendering them worthless and unable to be developed or sold, all in the name of environmentalism.

The EPA enforces “policy,” not “law.” The EPA is run by the Executive Branch (the White House), which can only make policy. And the federal government’s real authority outside of Washington DC exists only in enabling & regulating interstate commerce. The federal government’s power (and the state & local government’s power) is supposed to stop at your property line. And if there are any lawyers out there who know I’m wrong, just let me know. “

It’s a lot of info,it’s been going on and has been being put in places secretly for a while.

It’s shocking, scary and corrupt as usual.

Let me start with a few videos I hope you take the time to watch to get you up to speed.

If you don’t take the time, then when everything is gone then you’ll have none to blame but your self.

That’s what their hoping for and how it is progressing. No one is paying attention.

Obama on Track For Agenda 21 AKA VENUS PROJECT

“American Thinker” had a good article on it.

“Most Americans are unaware that one of the greatest threats to their freedom may be a United Nations program known as Agenda 21. The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Division for Sustainable Development created Agenda 21 as a sustainability agenda which is arguably an amalgamation of socialism and extreme environmentalism brushed with anti-American, anti-capitalist overtones.”
UN Agenda 21 – Coming to a Neighborhood near You

“The Green Agenda” also is very informative on the subject.

“Effective execution of Agenda 21 will require a profound reorientation of all human society, unlike anything the world has ever experienced a major shift in the priorities of both governments and individuals and an unprecedented redeployment of human and financial resources. This shift will demand that a concern for the environmental consequences of every human action be integrated into individual and collective decision-making at every level.”

This all worth your time checking into.

I’ll leave you with some more from my friends mesage.

“Part of the plan for “Agenda 21” is to take away private property by any and all means at their disposal. Why do you think the Liberal Justice David Souter ruled in favor of the perversion of Emminent Domain property confiscation laws? “Agenda 21” directs governments to gain control of the land and move the people off of it in order to return it to its natural state, so farmland isn’t allowed, either. The land shouldn’t be used for Human purposes. That’s also why they want you to stop eating meat and owning cars, and why our healthcare system is Eugenics-inspired. They believe there are too many people. You’ve heard that one before, rigtht? But making land worthless and putting people out of work and bankrupting farmers and land owners is actually hitting several birds with one stone for the Neo-Communists in charge because it also wrecks our economy, and furthers the agenda of bringing America down.

The “global warming” hysteria and venemous PC attacks on its behalf and all the legislation and taxes related to it are also part of “Agenda 21.” How? The answer is three fold. First, it imposes heavy taxation on mostly the middle class, to thin its ranks and send more into poverty, thus bringing our country down. Second, it takes that money and redistributes it to poorer countries, thereby bringing other countries up (theoretically). And third, it empowers the UN to its eventual goal of becoming a one-world sovereign government, with us as its subject. “

Wake up pay attention,get involved.

GOD bless you and America, while it’s still America.
