Dr. Ben Carson: From my devotional. (God is a nice guy).

As I’ve done in the past I like to share from my devotional. A few of them have been from Dr. Ben Carson and have always been inspirational, thought provoking to me causing me to ponder my own walk and to look inside and helpful in tough and dark time’s in my walk. This devotional was given to me by my father years ago, way before Ben Carson became a public figure or Presidential candidate . Sharing these posts from him I think would help to get to know him apart from the “Lame Stream Media’s” agenda, spin and other political sources and references and share a rare look at the man’s heart and faith if you’v never had the pleasure before.

I would be very comfortable with this man running the country along with my favorites of the Republican candidates, Fiorina, and of course love Ted Cruz. Personally I think both Carson and Cruz are godly, faithful men and we could do a lot worse with theses guy’s in charge. They both have a clear record on what they believe and stand for. Florina would be a good leader too, I voted for here when she ran in California and I think she is faithful and her sharing of her faith has been truthful though I do not agree with her on her comment’s last night on the talk show when she said ” a Muslim shouldn’t be prevented from serving as president “ I think that was a “Politically Correct” answer.

Though I may agree with most of what Trump say’s in regard to immigration, the border and the way he has forced the conversation to the front of issues we are facing today that need to be dealt with. I think we’v had enough of a prideful arrogant, divisive leader for quite sometime. No doubt he’s a good business man and if he were to get elected I think it would be a sad commentary on our nation, showing the world we are hateful, childish, arrogant, a generation of me, me, me and screw the rest of you. I respect and agree with what Scott Walker did and said yesterday another godly man! “I believe that I am being called to lead by helping to clear the field in this race so that a positive, conservative message can rise to the top of the field,” Walker said. “… I encourage other Republican presidential candidates to consider doing the same so that the voters can focus on a limited number of candidates who can offer a positive, conservative alternative to the current front-runner.”  That’s my two cents anyway, moving on to the devotional. BTW on subject of politics’s one of the most excellent tool’s I use fro none bias look at politicians  is VoteSmart.org , give it a try.

“The Love of the Father” Author: Dr. Ben Carson.

“ABOUT my faith in God, I want to express a few heartfelt thoughts that may sound simplistic or irreverent. As I continue to develop my relationship with him , I have discovered that God is a nice guy.

I confess that while growing up, I had bought into the concept of God as a stern individual who busily jots down in a book every mistake we make, so that on Judgment Day he can call us up and point to each one, saying “Why did you do this? I know you did this,” and then divulge to everybody present the unpraiseworthy actions of our lives.

I have slowly matured, and have experienced God’s help in many crises. I have come to realize the God does not want to punish us but, rather, to fulfill our lives. God created us, loves us, and want’s to help us to realize our potential so that we can be useful to others.

The relationship that God wants with me became particularly clear to me after Candy and I had children of out own. I realized how much I love my sons and how much I want for them. Of course I want them to be successful, and want to give them everything I can to make them happy. And I realized that God loves me even more than I love my own children.

I cannot give my children everything, but I try to arrange their environment so that they can learn to stand on their own feet, to respect others and to become valuable citizens.

If I lavish everything on them, they will never reach those goals, but as long as my children know that I love them- that I will stand behind them and do everything within my power to assure their success in life, I feel that I have done what I can for them. They will develop confidence in my love for them and will know that I only want good for them.

As I have considered my relationship with my sons, it makes it clear to me the relationship that God wants with me and with all the children he has created in the world.”

Been there, through that and still maturing. Though I don’t have children of my own I have nephews and nieces. I’m 50 something and about 22 years old as a Christian,( still young and growing) I tried and and I can only hope and pray what I’ve shared with them when they where young and coming up would be pleasing in your eyes Lord and help them some how on their journey and relationship with you.

Again I wouldn’t mind having a man with a heart and knowledge like this running the show for a while, especially after what we’ve been through these past seven years and opposed to the “front runner” now. Wouldn’t it be a nice change?

God bless America and you!

Are Christians Making Kim Davis Their New Idol?

What a well written thought provoking post! A must read article especially for Christians, take the time and rounder it awhile Christian. I totally agree with everything written, though I did post thing in favor of her. I too didn’t feel right about it, something was off. Was probably the Holy Spirit nudging me. Once again take the time for this one.

Exposing Modern Mugwumps

My comments: It’s running 5 to 1 in agreement with my article on another website. I am truly appalled at what Kim Davis, Huckabee, and Staver have done, and they all call themselves Christians. The 5 to 1 means the believers in Christ DO HAVE GREAT DISCERNMENT! Who will Kim Davis ever win to Christ? Certainly NOT any homosexuals, she has made them hate us. And in staying in her job, rather than resigning, she doesn’t remember the verses, BE YE SEPARATE, WHAT DOES THE LIGHT HAVE TO DO WITH DARKNESS, COME OUT OF HER, We are to be the salt and light…and when we point fingers at someone and scream SINNER, there are 3 fingers pointing back at us. Of course she probably doesn’t want to give up the 80K she’s allegedly making either.

I was never a Michele Bachman fan, but I give a lot of credit to…

He came for the common folk.

I wanted to share my devotional read for this morning with you. No one is more for, understands, relates to the common man better then Jesus.

The great physician and friend

“Why have people been so attracted to Jesus down through the centuries? The bible answers that question in a simple phrase, “We love because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19). As you look at the special relationship Jesus had with so many people, you must be convinced that Jesus is on the side of common people. Anybody who was heart, sick, mistreated, lonely, disenfranchised or condemned-people like you and me-where the ones Jesus came to help.

Mathew wrote, ” when the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your eat with tax collectors and sinners”? On hearing this, Jesus said, ” It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick” ( Matthew 9:11-12). In essence, Jesus was saying, “My job hear on earth is to get sinners back to God, not to worry about the good people.”

Jesus does not present himself to us as ” holier then though”, but rather as a friend. He said, ” I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you” (John 15:15).

We are not second class citizens. The bible says we are part of God’s family. Hebrews 4 records that Jesus, who is now in heaven, intercedes for us that He understands our weaknesses. We are encouraged to “approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). AUTHOR: Jim Conway

The passage of the day, that goes with this reading is Hebrews 4:14-16. I read the whole chapter for context and the beginning starts with “Therefor”. I was taught when I see “therefor” I have to read before the verse to see what “therefor” is there for. I started in Hebrews 3:12-19 and then Hebrews 4:1-16.

Hope you enjoyed and got blessed like I did. NO politician, no man or woman or anything else understands or has your back like Jesus does.

God bless America and you.10258766_547987208655516_2510133947547482093_n

Midterms: What Christians should be doing before, after and during.

Was reading this morning from my copy of Decision Magazine and found some good articles on it but unfortunately not all articles are included on the website that are in the magazine unless you subscribe. You can also like it on FB.

I do it but not nearly enough as I should as I suspect is the case with many, unfortunately. Honestly I have a real hard time doing it for Obama but I do. My personal opinion is we have the government and administration we do because we don’t and at the same time God has given us what we really wanted as a society, because Christian have been lazy and or fallen asleep and that has led to the God hating progressive take over of our country. Look at all the churches afraid to preach the truth for fear of the government or afraid of loosing their mega congregations. Preaching what the world teaches because it’s easy on the ears and doesn’t require much. (Oops, sorry that’s a whole other post.)Then again with America missing from the global seen a lot of what’s going on wouldn’t have been possible.

Never the less we are Commanded to do it. Check these articles out.

“Our nation was founded by men who believed in prayer. When our government was being formed, Benjamin Franklin addressed the chairman of the Constitutional Convention meeting at Philadelphia in 1787, saying, “I have lived, sir, a long time, and the longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth: that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, it is probable that an empire cannot rise without His aid.” read more, Turning the Tide of History

“The president recently asked for prayer as he faces the complex and dangerous challenges of leading our country in such tumultuous times.

His request was a pointed reminder to me that I should be praying for our president and our leaders every day—not to get something from them—but simply in obedience to the Scriptures. I personally haven’t prayed the way I should, and I’m sure that’s the case for some of you as well.

We know from Scripture that God can turn the hearts of kings (Proverbs 21:1). That means that we should be praying for God’s will to be done and for our leaders to seek God and listen to Him. We should pray that they would be surrounded by godly counsel and, most important, that our leadership would personally know God and the salvation found through faith in Jesus Christ alone.” Read more, Franklin Graham: ‘Praying for Those in Authority is a Biblical Command’

“If you’ve ever struggled to pray for government leaders with whom you strongly disagree, imagine being an evangelical congressman or senator on the front lines in Washington, called by God to hit your knees on behalf of fellow lawmakers who blatantly reject the biblical values you treasure.

Or, like Mike Huckabee, being a former presidential candidate-turned-television news commentator who is sometimes compelled to vigorously confront the man who was elected to the nation’s top office.

Huckabee sees no conflict in prayer and confrontation, and he finds no wiggle room in the biblical mandate to pray for our leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-4).

“Praying for them is to recognize that God can hit a straight lick with a crooked stick,” said Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor who works for Fox News and is contemplating a 2016 presidential run.

“But praying for someone doesn’t require me to agree with them or to be silent when I feel the need to rebuke. As I raised my children, I prayed for each of them by name daily, but that never stopped me from disciplining them. It’s because I do pray that I feel free to speak truth to power.”

Praying for political foes is a way of Washington life for Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), a devoted believer and former federal prosecutor who serves as an ace interrogator for the House Committee on Ethics, Oversight and Government Reform.” Read more, Praying For Other Leaders Who Oppose Your Beliefs

“America is in trouble. From sea to shining sea we are witnessing the devolution of a nation. The United States is quickly becoming the divided states. Disunity and conflict abound. Family breakdown, the immigration crisis, the threat of terrorism, an abiding racial divide and political dysfunction all point to a deeper problem.

Regardless of which side of the political aisle you sit on, it is clear: Things are unraveling at warp speed. Like never before, we must pray for our nation and her leaders.”

On Our Knees

As Christians, we must ask: Are we going to sit by and watch our culture fall apart and our families disintegrate? Or are we going to do something to help turn America to God?

The future of our culture is in the hands of Christians because the cause of our cultural demise is innately spiritual. And if a problem is spiritual, its cure must be spiritual as well. If we Christians are going to help turn our nation to God, we must fall on our knees and our faces before God and pray. We must not only talk about prayer, but pray. Not only agree on the importance of prayer, but pray. Not only preach on the power of prayer, but pray. As Billy Graham once said, “To get our nation on its feet, we must get on our knees.”

Second Chronicles 7:14 contains an awesome promise: “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” In this hallmark passage, God calls a nation to pray.” Read more, ‘If My People’

“I learned to depend on the Lord early in my childhood. During those turbulent years, my mother held our little family together. Though she wasn’t a Christian at the time, she knew she needed all the help she could get as she raised her children. So she sent my brother and me to church every Sunday, and it was there that I was introduced to Jesus Christ and invited Him into my heart.

As I learned how to pray and began speaking to the Lord, I sensed His love and care for me. Amid the chaos of our disintegrating family, this little girl found hope and comfort in Jesus. I’ve been praying and relying on Him ever since.”

“The Lord Jesus demonstrated the significance of prayer. He “often withdrew to lonely places and prayed” (Luke 5:16). He “went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God” (Luke 6:12). He even told His disciples the parable about justice for the persistent widow “to show them that they should always pray and not give up” (Luke 18:1).

If Christians would pray as Jesus instructed us, it would change our lives—and the course of history. Our nation’s leaders are openly asking for prayer from the public. As a matter of fact, members of both houses of Congress met recently in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda for a time of prayer and reconciliation. In the midst of our tumultuous times, God may be preparing hearts for a new openness to seeking Him through the lifeline of prayer.” Read more, Calling People to Their Knees

Hope you pray and hope you vote. God bless America and you.

For the Christian.

The “State of the Union” 2014.

The “State of the Union” is, we are morally, spiritually, financially bankrupt. We are divided like no other time in history except before the civil war. We have a corrupt racists, ante America, ante American citizen administration in most all branches of government complements of a lying, corrupt, pro islam ante Christian, ante constitution president.

Any person with a ounce of common sense that has been paying attention to what has happened to America the last 5 years, any true Conservative, Tea Party patriot would not disagree with me here.

So, I guess this for the 40% of Americans that still support Mr. Obama and the G.O.P. elitist, establishment politicians that are not much different then the progressive, liberal, democrats.

I’ve been working on this post for a week or so. Every time I get online to work on it though there is just so many story’s about Obama and his administration and the destruction of this country, attacks on American citizens and any one that dares to go against him. I’m kind of active on the Social Media sites trying to pass along news that the “Lame Stream Media” refuses to repot on.

I was going to title it Obama was elected because he was black and will not be Impeached for the same reason, I’ll get to that latter. This will probably be a long post or maybe two post. I hope you will take the time to research on your own.

To first understand what has happened you first need to understand progressivism. Obama is the poster child for progressivism. They have been at “The fundamental Chang of America” for about a hundred years and Obama has just put their agenda into hyper speed. They know once America wakes up, see’s them for what they really are and doing their time is short. Just like the devil as his time grows closer too. Because if you look, you’ll be able to see who’s really behind the progressive movement from a Christians prospective any ways.

Let’s start here. It a lengthy read as most will be but worth the time! From the Heritage Foundation/research

4. God and religion

“In the founding, God was conceived in one of two ways. Christians and Jews believed in the God of the Bible as the author of liberty but also as the author of the moral law by which human beings are guided toward their duties and, ultimately, toward their happiness. Nonbelievers (Washington called them “mere politicians” in his Farewell Address) thought of God merely as a creative principle or force behind the natural order of things.

Both sides agreed that there is a God of nature who endows men with natural rights and assigns them duties under the law of nature. Believers added that the God of nature is also the God of the Bible, while secular thinkers denied that God was anything more than the God of nature. Everyone saw liberty as a “sacred cause.”

At least some of the Progressives redefined God as human freedom achieved through the right political organization. Or else God was simply rejected as a myth. For Hegel, whose philosophy strongly influenced the Progressives, “the state is the divine idea as it exists on earth.” John Burgess, a prominent Progressive political scientist, wrote that the purpose of the state is the “perfection of humanity, the civilization of the world; the perfect development of the human reason and its attainment to universal command over individualism; the apotheosis of man” (man becoming God). Progressive-Era theologians like Walter Rauschenbusch redefined Christianity as the social gospel of progress.” Read more here. The Progressive Movement and the Transformation of American Politics

This is most important and easy to see how we ended up where we are today. Like Hitler and the rest, progressives like Obama understand how important the kids and education are towards their agenda. Heard of Common Core?

From RenewAmerica.com  I am convinced that the battle for humankind’s future must be waged and won in the public school classroom by teachers that correctly perceive their role as proselytizers of a new faith:  a religion of humanity that recognizes and respects the spark of what theologians call divinity in every human being…The classroom must and will become an arena of conflict between the old and new — the rotting corpse of Christianity, together with all its adjacent evils and misery, and the new faith of humanism, resplendent with the promise of a world in which the never-realized Christian ideal of ‘love thy neighbor’ will finally be achieved.” — excerpt from an article by John Dunphy titled “A Religion for a New Age,” appearing in the January/February 1983 issue of The Humanist Magazine.” Read more here. John Dewey:  the father of progressive education

Guess where Progressive Education started. “Late-nineteenth-century Chicago, home of a new university and one of the first settlement houses, Hull House, was unusually receptive to new ideas. It is no surprise, therefore, that it became a major center for the development of progressive education, the ideology that would become a dominant form in American educational thought for much of the twentieth century. The movement had its roots in the thought of many people, but its major founders were Francis Parker and John Dewey, both of whom refined their educational ideas here.” GO figure. Read more here. Did you know progressives are BIG on Population Control? Wonder why Obama puts up such a fight on the birth control thing? You’ll probably notice in the following links that the environmentalist and that global warming proponents are in cahoots together.

First up from the American Thinker Blog “Slowly but surely, the Obama administration is introducing the general public to the idea that fewer people born translates into health care cost savings. Liberals are so committed to the idea of fewer live births that by issuing conscience-disturbing mandates, Barack Obama, honorary doctor of obstetrics and gynecology, has even found a way to restrain the growth of prolific, pharmaceutical birth control-shunning Catholic families” Read more here. The Liberal Quest for Population Control

“Population control advocates insist that expanded access to abortion is essential to improving the status and health of women throughout the world.

Many of the early abortion advocates and activists were also supporters of eugenics. Margaret Sanger and many of her followers and American Birth Control League Board Members wrote articles and spoke openly of purifying America’s human “breeding stock” and purging America’s “bad strains.” Read more here. A GREAT article on “Eugenics”. From my friend at The Oil in Your Lamp. “The mentality that lead Germany to accept Hitler’s ‘final solution’ to the ‘Jewish problem’ has never left the minds of those who consider themselves to be the elite within Western Civilization.  It just morphed into another form (this is how evil always operates, and that’s because it cannot survive in the light of day).  Today, this mentality thrives in our society, but then, it is only fitting that it should do so since the Germans got the idea for the Holocaust from the American Eugenics movement.  The only thing that has changed is that, today, they no longer seek to eliminate races, but political ideologies.  Instead of Jews, today, the boogey man is ‘conservatism.’  Both then (the NAZI’s toward the Jews and Americans toward blacks and other minorities) and now (Progressives toward conservatives), ‘science’ was the justification for what can only be defined as evil,” Read more here. AGENDAS: ‘Science’ claims Social Conservatives are Mentally Disturbed

Follow it up with this one. “If you do not know history, and you do not know how to reason, then you cannot recognize the patterns in history when you see them starting to repeat. Instead of being able to see that a principle can manifest in many different ways, you will be prone to looking at the different ways it manifests itself and determine that they have nothing in common with the past. Thus, you will totally miss the principle in lay. This is why, when those who know history look back on it, they see the same patterns repeating over and over again. This is why we are missing the warning signs today.’ Read more here. AGENDAS: Just Replace the ‘Jewish Question’ with the ‘Conservative Question’

Eugenics in the United States. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

“Malthusianism is one of the most pervasive, if not the dominant response to   the current global political and economic crisis. It derives its name from the   doctrine articulated by English clergyman turned economist, Thomas Malthus in   1798. Malthusianism sees the numerical increase of the human population as the   root cause of natural resource depletion, poverty and social unrest and population   control as the primary solution.

As global problems worsen and policy makers are pressured to find quick solutions,   Malthusianism is resurging in many overt and covert forms today. Many leading   scientific bodies, environmental organizations and United Nations agencies have   been issuing warnings and declarations to the effect that if population growth   in the Third World, which accounts for 95% of current global population growth,   is not controlled quickly, the planet itself is doomed to extinction.” Read more here. A New and Improved Population Control Policy?

It looks like this post will have to be continued. Oddly enough when I tired to continue the post yesterday and tied to start my computer I was either hacked or my computer crashed. It starts with “Raid Operation”at the end od the log in process it says no boot files found and has a “Mac” user address which is od because I run a windows O/S. I was able once to get to the set up system of the computer and disabled the “Raid Operation” and enable the diagnostic page after that can’t do anything. “Raid Operation” starts again with the same process as mentioned before. Can’t get to safe mode or anything. I’m on a friends computer now and if I have the money payday I’ll take to a computer expert or have to save up to get another one.

Anyways, I hope this post when looking at the big picture you can easily see what is going on and the agenda behind it. When I can get back to it IF, I can get my computer back because that’s where I have all my research and links that I have saved I will share the racism and promotion of it by this administration, the attacks on Americans, the Tea Party from this administration and the G.O.P. The attack and discrimination on Christianity. The failure of it’s foreign policy and the siding with islam and muslims of this administration and the destruction of our relationship with our allies.

This up coming election is so very important. Have we EVER been so divided as a country and American citizens as we have been at the hands of this administration? Look at the progressive agenda, that’s what they are all about. We are at the bottom of the food chain. Only they know what’s good for us and there is definitely no room for dissention only slavery if your are not one of the elect! If we don’t make changes, say good by to the once great America! If you want to know what America will end up looking like just look at Chicago or any state or county where the progressive liberal democrats or the majority.

In the mean time here are some links that I had save on this post for later on. I wasn’t going to use them here but since these are the only ones I have save that I can get to I’ll have to for now in no particular order.

This B.S. you know who this is meant to benefit given Obamas sympathy toward islam and muslims. No problem at all with it in regards to chaplains and the rest in the performance of their duties. We are a nation of religious freedom, supposed to be any ways.
The ARMY, the Marines and the rest are ONE! Not a rag tag band of misfits. This is the ways it is and always should be.
The Military should NOT be another social experiment for the progressives liberals.
As many hail it as a good thing, Of course right of the back they attack the Christian and or afraid of Christians being able to share their religion or beliefs.

Under Enemy Attack.

I read this from one of my devotionals this morning on the way for the weekend reading and it really spoke to me and just burned in my heart.

After being signal for about 15 years and abstinent for about the last of the 12 or13 years of the stretch ONLY by GOD’s help and power. I got married on August 1 of this year. I can definitely attest to this.

The first week or week and a half we where attacked HARD! One thing after another, it was really something else. I spare you the details except to say GOD brought us through it all.

This is good for the Christian husband of course but I thing good for every Christian as well. A good reminder we do have an enemy that want’s nothing more to destroy us and our family’s. Look around the world and what’s been happening in our country for quite some time now, look at our society and our family’s. What’s left of them any ways.

From author Leonard LeSourd

Under Enemy Attack

“Husbands, accept the fact that you are under attack by forces you can not see, that you have a very real enemy in Satan who wants to destroy your marriage.

The fact that a dark force out there wants to brake up your marriage should arouse your fighting spirit. “How dare he single me out” Your home suddenly becomes a place you will go all out to protect.

As a husband you need to understand exactly what spiritual warfare is. This is not difficult. There are many books on the subject. More and more churches are dealing with it.

Most important for every husband is to accept the authority the LORD gives him when he becomes the spiritual head of his home.

With this authority a husband can pray against the dark forces he may feel pressing in on him and his family. He prays this way against sickness, against temptation, against forces in his community that would corrupt his children. the prayer for his home could go like this: LORD, with the authority  you gave me as the head of this household, I come against all perverse spirits, against principalities and the forces of darkness that are trying to upset the peace and order of our home. In the name of JESUS I rebuke these spirits and cast them out. They have no ground in this house. I pray now that YOU would fill this house. I pray now that YOU would fill this place with YOUR spirit, YOUR love, YOUR peace, Your joy.”

I love this!! This is not only for the husband but for every Christian!

A good reminder, or ask your self with all that the world is throwing at you and asking you to accept.

Galatians 1

New International Version (NIV)

1 Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— 2 and all the brothers and sisters[a] with me,

To the churches in Galatia:

3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

No Other Gospel

6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

This is SO important and where you get your weapons to fight. With what’s going on in the world today and in our own country. Here are the basics and how I believe, one way we start to take our family’s, our communities and our country back.

Ephesians 6

New International Version (NIV)

6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”[a]

4 Fathers,[b] do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. 7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, 8 because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.

9 And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

If you’ll bare with me just a bit more I’d like to share some encouragement and reminders I have saved on my computer and use from time to time. Thanks!

GOD bless America and you.

Colossians 3:2 Amplified Bible

Not Philosophy but Christ

2 For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, 2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and[a] of Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

4 Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. 5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it[b] with thanksgiving.

8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

Not Legalism but Christ

11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins[c] of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. 18 Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not[d] seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19 and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.

20 Therefore,[e] if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations— 21 “Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle,” 22 which all concern things which perish with the using—according to the commandments and doctrines of men? 23 These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

Colossians 3 New King James Version

Not Carnality but Christ

3 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.

8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

Character of the New Man

12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

18 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.

20 Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord.

21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.

22 Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God. 23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for[a] you serve the Lord Christ. 25 But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.

Colossians 3 Amplified Bible

3 If then you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

2 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.

3 For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.

4 When Christ, Who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in [the splendor of His] glory.

5 So kill (deaden, [a]deprive of power) the evil desire lurking in your members [those animal impulses and all that is earthly in you that is employed in sin]: sexual vice, impurity, sensual appetites, unholy desires, and all greed and covetousness, for that is idolatry (the deifying of self and other created things instead of God).

6 It is on account of these [very sins] that the [holy] anger of God is ever coming upon the sons of disobedience (those who are obstinately opposed to the divine will),

7 Among whom you also once walked, when you were living in and addicted to [such practices].

8 But now put away and rid yourselves [completely] of all these things: anger, rage, bad feeling toward others, curses and slander, and foulmouthed abuse and shameful utterances from your lips!

9 Do not lie to one another, for you have stripped off the old (unregenerate) self with its evil practices,

10 And have clothed yourselves with the new [spiritual self], which is [ever in the process of being] renewed and remolded into [fuller and more perfect [b]knowledge upon] knowledge after the image (the likeness) of Him Who created it.

11 [In this new creation all distinctions vanish.] There [c]is no room for and there can be neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, [nor difference between nations whether alien] barbarians or Scythians [[d]who are the most savage of all], nor slave or free man; but Christ is all and in all [[e]everything and everywhere, to all men, without distinction of person].

12 Clothe yourselves therefore, as God’s own chosen ones (His own picked representatives), [who are] purified and holy and well-beloved [by God Himself, by putting on behavior marked by] tenderhearted pity and mercy, kind feeling, a lowly opinion of yourselves, gentle ways, [and] patience [which is tireless and long-suffering, and has the power to endure whatever comes, with good temper].

13 Be gentle and forbearing with one another and, if one has a difference (a grievance or complaint) against another, readily pardoning each other; even as the Lord has [freely] forgiven you, so must you also [forgive].

14 And above all these [put on] love and enfold yourselves with the bond of perfectness [which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony].

15 And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].

16 Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts.

17 And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him.

18 Wives, be subject to your husbands [subordinate and adapt yourselves to them], as is right and fitting and your proper duty in the Lord.

19 Husbands, love your wives [be affectionate and sympathetic with them] and do not be harsh or bitter or resentful toward them.

20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.

21 Fathers, do not provoke or irritate or fret your children [do not be hard on them or harass them], lest they become discouraged and sullen and morose and feel inferior and frustrated. [Do not break their spirit.]

22 Servants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not only when their eyes are on you as pleasers of men, but in simplicity of purpose [with all your heart] because of your reverence for the Lord and as a sincere expression of your devotion to Him.

23 Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,

24 Knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [and not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [real] reward. [The One Whom] you are actually serving [is] the Lord Christ (the Messiah).

25 For he who deals wrongfully will [reap the fruit of his folly and] be punished for his wrongdoing. And [with God] there is no partiality [no matter what a person’s position may be, whether he is the slave or the master].

Mark 8:36 New International Version

36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?

For the Christian and non believer who might be curious.

I read this a few weeks ago in a devotional I sometimes read and it just really blessed and stuck with me. As I go through it again I still get blessed.

I was in one those valleys we all find ourselves in from time to time. Like always, HE’S there with us and brings us through it OK.

I thought it might helpful, encouraging to some and interesting to others, especially in the times we are living in.

It was a weekend reading.

“Recognize”

“Everyone that comes to know JESUS stumbles because of him. He fails to meet our wrong expectations.

HE calls us to do impossible things or to become something we think we could never become. This is HIS way of teaching us how much we need HIM.

HE breaks us into pieces so that HE can put us back together again in HIS image.”

Michael Card.

“Renew”

“The rule is this: Christians are people who remember their own weakness and failures.

They are under reconstruction. So they offer hope and forgiveness to people who fall and who need grace and hope”.

Saturday: 1Corinthians 1:20-31 Sunday: 2 Corinthians 4:1-12

Before reading  Corinthians 1:20-31 all good Christians know they should read it in context. 1 Corinthians 1

1 Corinthians 1:20-31

New International Version (NIV)

20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22 Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”[a]

Think about all the supposed “Wise” people. Especially in the times we are living in, this government, this administration. They sure think they are wise,( and have no problem telling us we are not, that they know better) but to me looks a lot like GOD is making them look pretty foolish.

Context: 2 Corinthians 4

2 Corinthians 4:1-12

We all know that when you see a “Therefore” we need to see what it’s therefore to make sure we are getting the full context. 2 Corinthians 3

New International Version (NIV)

Present Weakness and Resurrection Life

4 Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”[a] made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

Ever wonder why it seems everyone is so blind as to what’s going on in our country, let alone the world?

4 “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

For the unbeliever that might be checking this out. If you don’t know who “The god of this age is” you might want to start checking out the bible and ask GOD to open it up to you.

I love this and it was a good reminder and comfort. 8 “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”

Never forget it Christian!

Here’s a good one to keep in mind I just came across. Check it out: The Mind of Christ

Enjoy the rest of you’re weekend. GOD bless America and you!

They call their self’s Christians?

GOD has a special place for people like this.

FTA;
“Members of a community church in Paramus, N.J., are in a state of disbelief over this week’s confiscation of their beloved church building, built and paid for by members of the church back in 1929.”

“Monday morning a locksmith hired by the Christian & Missionary Alliance locked the church members out of their building after the New Jersey Court of Appeals ruled that the denomination has every right to exercise a “reversionary” clause, and take the valuable property away from local members.”

“Although the court ruling clearly gives the congregation until March 18 to turn over the keys to the building, the CMA didn’t wait, and shuttered the building, personal possessions and all, first thing Monday morning.”

“In still one more act of piracy by the Christian & Missionary Alliance, Bruce Terpstra, District Superintendent of the Metropolitan District of the C&MA, has filed a major lawsuit against Community Church of Paramus (CCP) on November 19, 2010 in the Superior Court of Bergen County, New Jersey, Case # C-390-10. This Draconian act, should Bruce Terpstra succeed, would leave the members and Spanish congregation which meets there church-homeless, and follows the same pattern and template of what the C&MA did to the Chinese Alliance church in Colorado Springs (reported in Christianity Today and Colorado Gazette), the Vietnamese Boat People Church in Long Beach, California, and Reedsville Church in Pennsylvania, rendering members as trespassers on their own property. And just like they did to the Chinese Alliance Church, C&MA leaders declared the Community Church of Paramus meetings invalid. As in the case of the Chinese Alliance Church, the CCP mortgage was paid for by the members of this local church.”

Check out their statement.

“The Alliance is a unique missionary denomination—a maverick movement into whose soul the Head of the Church breathed “Go!” from the very start. —L.L. King, C&MA President (1978-1987)”

Your unique all right.

Why not contact them and let them know how you feel?

With all the attacks on Christians. The faith and the LORD from the left, the progressives and the “Lame Stream Media” this kind of so called church gives them plenty of to talk about.

As Christians we are supposed to shine the light on the darkness.

If this isn’t darkness I don’t know what is.

I believe the book of Revelation has some things to say about a church like this.

May the LORD rebuke the spirit in behind this church!!

GOD bless America and you.
