NEW YORK – Americans looked back on 9/11 Tuesday with solemn ceremonies, volunteer service and a presidential tribute to “the moment when America fought back” on one of the hijacked planes used as weapons in the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil.
Thousands of 9/11 victims’ relatives, survivors, rescuers and others who gathered on a misty Tuesday morning at the memorial plaza where the World Trade Center’s twin towers once stood.
President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence headed to the two other places where hijacked planes crashed on Sept. 11, 2001: a Pennsylvania field and the Pentagon.
In a brazen attempt to re-write history, President Barack Obama in a speech on Friday blamed “the politics of resentment and paranoia,” which he said had found a home in the Republican Party, for “wild conspiracy theories – like those surrounding Benghazi.”
What a reprehensible way to frame an event that killed four Americans while they waited for rescue and protection they deserved from people Barack Obama never sent.
Of course, you only heard about Obama’s characterization of Benghazi if you pay attention to conservative media. By and large the mainstream press excluded references to Benghazi from their reporting of the speech.
Today is the seventeenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001, Muslim terrorist attacks on the New York World Trade Center Towers, the Pentagon and Flight 93, which resulted in the death of almost 3,000 innocent Americans. We also remember the first responders who so selflessly and with no hesitation, answered the call to rescue those who were trapped, many of whom lost their own lives in the collapsing towers.
For 17 years the evil of Islam has existed within our borders. Islam has infiltrated every aspect of our society, including our schools and universities, both political parties, Hollywood, mainstream media, cultural elite, and major corporations.
So, how effective has America’s response been in 17 years?
17 years later…World leaders still call Islam a “religion of peace,” including former Presidents Obama, Bush and Clinton and Pope Francis.
17 years later…Muslims are within America’s borders training children to carry out school shootings……..
Through commemoration, exhibitions and educational programs, The National September 11 Memorial & Museum, a nonprofit in New York City, remembers and honors the 2,983 people killed in the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001, and February 26, 1993, as well as those who risked their lives to save others and all who demonstrated extraordinary compassion in the aftermath of the attacks.
God Bless America and you.
